The Rihanna Mobile Theme: now available in Store

With my role in Ovi Partner Marketing, I’m not sure what other job in the world gives you the ability to discuss and collaborate Marketing with virtually any global brand. Average day = morning call with Paramount, proposals with Shazam, lunch with Electronic Arts, high-tea with TuneWiki (okay I lied… never had high-tea before).

Still, getting to work with the Nokia / Rihanna Partnership is definitely one of the highlights. Though I never got to meet Rihanna, nor have a chance to have high-tea with her, I was absolutely ecstatic when my Mobile Theme proposal for the Store got the nod from Rihanna, her management, and her label. The best part of it all was that Rihanna actually read my script to create the voice tones, eg. “Incoming call on your Nokia, but please don’t stop the music”.

So go ahead and download the Exclusive Nokia Rihanna Mobile Theme from Store now!

I admit for the voice tone that the play on words from her song “Don’t Stop the Music” was quite cheesy, but I thought it to be a good kind of cheese – the kind you’d have at high-tea.

PS. If you’ve read my previous blog post about the Boss-Outburst Pool tracked with Counter Touch, we’ve hit a daily high of 57!!! Surprisingly though Merewyn won the pool on a day with just 5. I swear they’re working together…

Maps with Free Navigation: over 1 million downloads in one week

Today Nokia announced that since the launch of the new version of Maps (see our recent post here) with free walk and drive navigation there have been a staggering 1.4+ million downloads with over 20% coming from China. The one million mark was reached already at the end of last week and we’re averaging a download a second, 24 hours a day, said Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President of Nokia.
