Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… it did. Whether you’re headed down the block, or down under, Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Public Transport included in the Nokia Maps Suite on your Nokia Belle smartphone let you explore and navigate the world with just a tap from your home screen. For starters, this latest release of Nokia Maps Suite includes the new Nokia Maps, which offers an even better toolbar so you can customize the map just the way you like it.

A couple weeks back, we introduced to you Nokia’s very own Mapstronaut. Through the Mapstronaut’s adventures in London, Rome and Berlin, he was able to experience some of the best sights out of those cities, eat some amazing food, and got the honour to meet some local followers as well. This was the first Mapstronaut competition we held, and out of more than 1,200 submissions suggested by you to the Mapstronaut that we received within the 2 weeks span, we finally announced Cristian @Cristi_Trohin as our competition winner!

What does the word neighborhood mean to you? For me, it is a place where I can relax, be safe, and know what is where and who is who.

Neighborhoods in Berlin are called Kiez, which originated from a Slavic word, meaning house. There are around 20 Kiez areas in Berlin, and they include their own sub culture and infrastructure.  Some of the more famous ones are Akazienkiez in Schöneberg and Wrangelkiez in Kreuzberg.

The journey is finally over for the Mapstronaut – after his epic 6 day exploration of Rome, Berlin and London he’s ready to hang up his suit for now. As you may have seen in the previous posts the Mapstronaut visited some amazing places, took some great pictures, met some friends, and even had his antics captured on film (which will be coming your way very soon – keep your eyes peeled for that one!). All that’s left for the Mapstronaut to do is to thank everyone who sent in suggestions and see where the future takes him!

The Mapstronaut had a great time in Berlin visiting your suggestions. He met up with some amazing people whilst he was out there – particularly @taknil, @nokia_fan and @berlinique who all helped him out on his adventures. But as of this morning the Mapstronaut has landed in London! The final part of his three city tour, he’ll be spending today and tomorrow visiting your favourite places in and around the city.
