Hi there! We are very glad to see you here at Nokia Maps Blog – our little blog about planning, mapping and sharing adventures and all the wonderful stories around them. In the coming days, we will focus on the simple pleasures of life – good food, great friends and lively music– and how our  location based services, mobile maps and maps.nokia.com with 3D maps, street maps, and travel directions will help you do what you love to do most.

To explore the full potential of maps.nokia.com and our maps apps, we have a team of product makers, developers, designers and marketers who will be blogging about their personal experiences around our location services. What this means is that instead of just listing out the features of our products, we will show you how we – and sometimes some of you – use it. Sometimes we will take you along a particular product or design journey, and give you a peek of what happens at the trenches. You can read more about the people who bring these stories to you at the ‘About Us’<link> page, which we will keep updated.

Given that our maps community is spread across the world, we will also write about the places where we are from – what to see when we end up there, and the festivals, legends, and history that give them flavor. We are a community of people who love to share our great finds with each other, so from time to time, you will see guest posts and compilation posts from community members appearing here.

A blog is only as good as the people who follow it. So we want to hear from you on how you liked the articles, your adventures in which Nokia Maps played a part, your suggestions on our look and feel, and your tips on stories that we can feature on the Maps Blog in the future.

What are you waiting for? Let us get mapping!

Hi Surya, the new (and good old) concept sounds great. This is the new home for Maps… I am happy to read that :-)

Nokia Maps ready for the future :-) !!!

    Question:
I miss the DISQUS implementation here, why this one is stripped from the new Nokia blogs?

    Welcome ;-)

We wanted to try out different things. So keep your comments about the good and bad coming, and we will try to get things implemented.

And I a very glad that a true blue maps fan is commenting on the blog for the first time :)
