He came. He saw. He tweeted. The Mapstronaut loved his whirlwind tour of Rome and despite some bad weather he visited a lot of your suggestions, ate a lot of pizza, and made a lot of friends. For now, The Mapstronaut has said goodbye to Rome and it’s now his second day in Berlin.

He kicked things off yesterday visiting a great suggestion by @titanae1177 – the Café Balzac on Invalidenstrasse. Here is the Mapstronaut enjoying a coffee with his friend @taknil from the German tech blog http://www.hardworkingbee.com, who helped him out for the day.

With a burst of caffeine, the Mapstronaut was buzzing and ready to head off to Berliner Mauer Dokumentation – a great suggestion from our good friend @fartypoo (who’s given us so many great suggestions over the last couple of days – it was so hard to choose which one to visit!).

Following that, the Mapstronaut visited what is arguably Berlin’s most famous landmark (no… not the Beerhaus) THE BRANDENBURG GATE. This was a great suggestion from Dibyendu Mondal who left his suggestion on the Nokia Maps Blog. The Mapstronaut was mobbed by tourists looking for a photo with him at this point (but he loves the attention really)…

What our Mapstronaut has enjoyed the most has been plotting his favourite places in Berlin using the favourites function on Nokia Maps. He’s been saving all of the places he’s visited there so the next time he’s back in Rome or Berlin, he remembers where he’s been! Have you tried it out yet? Check the top right hand corner of Nokia Maps and try plotting a few of your favourite places…

The Mapstronaut’s final day in Berlin is TODAY, so make sure that you get your suggestions in! He’ll be in London from Monday, so start thinking about your favourite places there… remember if you live in the UK and the Mapstronaut visits your suggestion, you automatically win €100 to spend at your place AS WELL as going into the grand prize draw!
